Just want to vent somewhere.
I paid £140 to Rainbow London for a brand new oscillating fitness machine. They sold it on Amazon.
When it arrived it was so heavy it took me and the postman to carry it indoors. Because it is so heavy it was difficult for me to shift it about and unpack it and lift it out of the box and shift it to the place I want to set it up. I am old and fat and unfit so it was an ordeal but at least I only have to do it once.
Not so!
When I opened it, some of the accessories were missing, what was there had clearly already been used, the instruction poster was ripped in ten places and nothing was in plastic bags or tied with twist ties, which as we all know everything comes in bags and/or tied up. There was also one battery in the remote, when there should be two. It was obvious someone had already used it, and either removed one of the batteries provided or had provided one themselves when it needed two,
Clearly, the item was secondhand and was fobbed off on me as "new".
GRRRR!
Rather than have the trouble of (somehow) returning it I thought that, if it worked and the company offered me both a partial refund and send the bits that are missing, I would keep it. But first I wanted to check it worked. So I switched it on and it does not work.
I'm furious now, that a customer must have returned it as defective, and they re-sold it at top price as new.
Grrr!

I have emailed them of course. But if they tell me to take it to a drop off point what am I to do? No car, and can barely lift it. Can I insist they collect it?
