What a very informative site and respect to those who give their free time to help and assist members on various topics.

Now to my point. I received a payment notice from ECP for a 36 minuet overstay in a carpark in Kilmarnock, Scotland. I have read the sticky and intend to follow the advice by IGNORING all their letters which i assume will come over the coming months.

I will keep this post updated as and when a receive these letters and will not enter into dialog with any of them.

Is this still the current way of dealing with these PCN;s in Scotland?

Yep, correct.

We don't need to be updated on all the bits of paper you will get. The only time you need to come back is if you receive any court papers (more chance of you winning The Lottery than getting those).

Standard advice to anyone receiving any paperwork suggesting a debt is owed is to retain and file safely until the time limitation for legal pursuit expires - 5 years in Scotland (6 in E/W)

Assume you also live in Scotland

They need to know who the driver is and that's your secret and none of their business

Expect the normal drivel in the post and wild silly threats from debt collectors which you ignore

Unless they know who the driver is, it's two fingers at them

If you want you can contact a site owner or retailer to get the ticket cancelled. Sometimes it's worth it and sometimes it can be a right pain depending upon who owns the site and if there are any shops on it.

If you do that do not say who the driver was. Ignoring is perfectly good too.

Well, you guy's do certainly know your stuff. The 1st drivel letter from DRP has arrived with the content of threats etc... Fingers crossed only a few more to come then thats it, or is it ?

IGNORE until the next letter and then IGNORE until these
timewasters give up.

It will then be up to the PPC if they think they can win in scotland ??

PS: If the DRP letters make serious threats then pass it to
Trading Standards Scotland

DRP are Dept Recovery Plus LTD.

My understanding is they do not take you to court in Scotland as they need to know who the driver was, not the registered keeper and there is no way they will ever find out who the driver was :-)

YUP the very same wild bunch. It's not a case of DRP not taking you
to court ... THEY CANNOT take you to court

How do i ask for help with my ECP PCN in Scotland when appealing i gave the driver of the car, appeal was rejected, parked over 3 hours at the gym that is in the Motherwell shopping centre where i got the PCN. Can someone give me a link
