That's up to you keep the policy running. Just make sure your new insurance is based on having zero no claims.0 -
I would not want to lose an additional 1 years bonus just for the sake of one month the run0

It will have been your choice to have sold the car and then inevitably cause the cancellation of the policy0 -
You could be cutting off your nose over this issue.ARandomMiser wrote: »That would be their choice, we will see what happens on Tuesday. But i will not be paying them a penny.
If your policy gets cancelled because you have no car on cover, then you get no "no claims bonus" for the part year which may or may not be significant.
But if you end up in a dispute over not paying for the policy being cancelled, then they will not issue you any no claim bonus proof at all till the matter is resolved, meaning you will have nil ncd to take to your new insurer.0 -
Well taking the advice from this board i chickened out and contacted my current insurer. After a bit of negotiation i have agreed for them to update my current policy to my new car for one month and give them the opportunity to price match next month when the policy is due for renewal.
I relented in relation to not paying a penny and had to dish up the princely sum of 51p to update the policy. Fantastic customer service. Thanks everyone for bothering to read and comment.IITYYHTBMAD0
