Is anyone else having to shop at sainsburys at the moment? :rotfl:
Is your store still selling the 50p top up packs? My store have ran out
they still have the 'free' ones that you get with the shopping.
Being only two of us the food bill isn't much so I was buying a couple of 50p packs every time I went in. When they ran out I looked on ebay but they seem to sell for more than 50p per pack on there  I refuse to pay more than they were sold for originally. I will keep checking, I might get lucky.
Anyone one elses child(ren) collecting them?
Anyone completed the book?
Store didn't know if they would be getting any more in, I suppose the promotion has gone better than they thought, it will say in the small print somewhere, available whilst stocks last.

Sainsburys £2 my store still had plenty of books on last visit.
I was quite impressed with the book it has facts in from around the word and is still readable even if you don't get all the cards.0 -
My son loves them
He was thrilled yesterday as two people doing their big shops gave him their free cards - we spent £18 (so one free pack) and he came home with 16 packs - lady in front in the check out said her kids were too old so could the cashier give them to my boy - cashier said she wasn't allowed to, but could give them to her and she could hand them over, so she did - and the woman at the next check out did the same thing.
He did get a few doubles.
Message me and I can send you a few if yours hasn't got them0 -
Thanks clairec79
I am shopping today and think I will try the sainsburys in the next village they might have some booster packs still in stock.
my son loves everything lego, I think even with buying them at 50p its reasonable compared to the prices of other collectable cards you can get.
Did you know you can play games with the swaps?0 -
Not Lego cards, but membership of the Lego Club used to be free for two years (and then you could re-register for the next two years free). You get a magazine (every two months, IIRC) and it is addressed to the child - getting post in their own name usually creates great excitement for a child!
I've just Googled and here are the details:

They have rock, paper, scissors icons in the top right hand corner, so that's one game. You could play 'snap' with your doubles.
I didn't know about the top-up packs, but my son loves to womble for receipts with packs on; just hang around the self check-outs for those! I got 5 packs from one machine yesterday as people had left their receipts poking out. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

My son has been with his dad today and came home with a huge bundle of cards
They had visited a relative who had been saving them and asked if he wanted them. I am so glad I didn't pay over the odds on ebay now. 0 -

Yes he is a member he loves his own post the magazines are quite good. I only joined once and that was over two years ago, he still gets the magazines I didn't realise you were suppose to re-join.building_with_lego wrote: »I didn't know about the top-up packs, but my son loves to womble for receipts with packs on; just hang around the self check-outs for those!
