Tattooed eyebrows or semi permanent make-up

do you know how i could get in touch with this lady? i live in the manchester area and am very interested in getting my eyebrows done!I had my eyeliner done (top and bottom) years ago by a lady called Lorraine near Manchester and she has become a really good friend. She is a perfectionist which helps!! I opted for the top eyeliner as I just can't do it myself and the thought of waking up in the morning looking half human appealed to me!
I also got my eyebrows done as I can't shape them myself so it means that I have a shape that I can pluck to. They do fade over time but if you have a low pain threshold then she tops up the anesthetic cream and constantly asks if you are okay. She has corrected other peoples work and goes on training courses all the time.... actually I should be on commission!! lol0 -

If done well, I'm sure it's excellent - but one of my laser patients is a lady who had it done 'on a whim' on holiday.
1 year and 7 sessions later and it's nearly gone - but having it taken off is way more expensive than putting it on (Although some of the top prices I've just read on here for having it done will be similar to the charges for removing it!)
Make sure you get it done well - not cheaply!
Just updating my very old post(see page 1 of this thread), or here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1850987 the good lady is still very happy with this.
I agree with you 100% no 200% getting it done well is the most important thing, some lady above 100 or 200 pounds..... no thanks! not on the face. We looked and really did research the lady we went to (Heidi Worman) we knew she was working with BUPA and a lot of other regulated people, as well as famous clients, so we felt good.
My good lady says its the best treatment she as ever had, all in all time saving and cost she is more than happy.
I recommend the lady we used over others we saw 100%
All the best.0 -
I went to a lady in Surrey but she also does a clinic in the West End. I paid £350 for my eyebrows and that included the top up 4 weeks later. The whole thing took two hours although the actually tattooing was about 15 to 20 minutes, the rest of the time was the consultation where she explained everything in detail and drew my eyebrows to perfection. She really listens to what you want and draws them on hair by hair so they look soooooo natural! She has a lot of pictures on her website. The place is called DermaEraze . She also does correction work which made me feel more secure about it!0

Tattooed eyebrows fade as you age, and doing them again on thinning skin is to be avoided.
Is this a professional opinion please? I am 64 is that too old? I am pretty unwrinkled and don't think I look 'old'
I imagine that a good salon would just make them more subtle if you were older? I don't think they last that many years either.0 -

My auntie is in her late 50s and has had hers done. She's fairly young for her age, looks after herself, quite trendy etc. But her tattooed eyebrows look absolutely ridiculous. A few of her friends have also had them done and they also look awful. They don't suit older women at all no matter how unwrinkled they are. It actually ended up looking like a few of them have had really awful facelifts because the eyebrows look so silly, which is a shame because they were all lovely looking women before they ruined their faces with them.:j0 -
it surely must depend on how its done? I would only go to Heidi woman or someone like the person in London who has been mentioned. Mine are normal lovely thick eyebrows that have just gone a bit sparse at the ends. Dont think I would have eyeliner though by sound of it!0

You are never too old to look good, semi permanent make up eye brows actually can make you look years younger done correctly. It can lift your eyes. I am a specialist at ladybird in enfield0 -
thanks for comment above. Can I ask one question; I have very dark eyebrows, really they are black. But slightly motheaten (only at the ends) at 65. What happens as it fades as one end of eyebrow might look different to the other end which is still naturally thick and dark.0

The therapist should have told you that you would need top ups as some areas fade quicker than others. Most of my clients have a top up every 2 years it freshens the colour. Also may i add we never use black on eyebrows very dark brown onlymoneylover wrote: »thanks for comment above. Can I ask one question; I have very dark eyebrows, really they are black. I havent seen a therapist yet - this was just a general question. I am interested that you say you don't use black. Is this because in your terms there is no such thing as black eyebrows? Are my eyebrows 'technically' dark brown? Because otherwise they wouldnt match - everyone always comments on how thick and dark my eyebrows and lashes are-however they are getting moth eaten at the ends!
