Are Amex good with chargebacks

So I bought some tickets for an event. Tickets were £65 each. Including fees subtotal was £153. I got the tickets, next day got an email saying I had been relocated and new tickets would be sent out via the post. The tickets never came so I arranged to collect at box office on day of event however weren't there when I asked. Luckily I bought my old tickets which showed proof of entry however had to sit in my new seats which were really poor and felt my other seats were better quality cos I could see the stage better. The advisor wrote all over my old tickets which was annoying becuase I wanted to keep them as a souvenir rather than have blue ink on it.
I have gone to axs and o2, they won't issue me refunds. I paid with amex so based on my story and amex in general, how well are amex at giving refunds?

Many thanks
:o

If not then give it a try but what I dont know is if you woild be covered under sec 75 for price per ticlet or the total price.

So you got the service you paid for, you watched the concert but feel that your tickets were not as good and somebody wrote on your ticket. Unless you were downgraded to a ticket of lesser value which is unlikely if both the venue and the ticket agency won't refund. In essence you are upset because a piece of paper was written on and you are seeking all of your money back. Good luck, I am sure the venue or the seller will be seeing you in a small claims court if you do a charge back. See you in a few months when you have a ccj and need advice...

Yes unless it was a ticket in a different price bracket I can't really see how you would have a claim on this one, still annoying if it was a much worse ticket though, and I know there can be a fair difference in tickets within the same price tier at the O2
