Hi guys! 😉 I've recently had a letter off HSBC to say they owe me a PPI rebate. I accepted the offer and signed acceptance form with my bank details and sent back. I've now received a letter saying I need to go to a branch with two forms of id due to the money laundering law etc. I don't have a passport or driving licence so I took a letter in from the DWP and they said they needed something else with this as it wasn't enough. They said to get a bank statement from my bank ( don't bank with HSBC anymore) can anyone tell me if this sounds right? Also I do have a bit of debt at moment which I'm paying off via debt management company. Could this affect them giving me my rebate? The bank in Manchester was so busy when I went in I couldn't hear the cashier properly through glass. Lastly it's going to take a couple of weeks to get the documentation together. There is no time limit is there where they could cancel my rebate? Thanks guys so much. I do apologise but I'm not well ATM with mental health and I'm so worried. God bless everyone ✌🏻

    yes it does

Only if the debt originated from HSBC. If not, then no.

    6 months typically.
