Citibank Closing € Account?

Hi All - first post so welcome!
I've had a Citibank Euro Account for a number of years, used really to save on charges from ATM's and the like when going abroad :T.... until I received a letter in the post yesterday informing me that they had reviewed my account and have decided to close it as I'm not utilising their wealth management (read £££) services. :(
Any thoughts or suggestions as I really wanted an account in Euros for travel and in case the £ tanks after Brexit.
Thanks, Nick

Start using it quickly and then call them to see if they will change their mind.

I had Halifax send me a letter saying they are going to remove my overdraft, it was a bill account i rarely used for anything else
But deposit a bit of money and they didnt remove it.

The next thing i know they are offering me credit cards.

There's no necessity to have a Euro account to save on ATM charges, simply take out one of the fee free cards discussed incessantly on here.

PS This is entirely the wrong board for this thread, ask for it to be moved to the Banking board.
  • Thanks - Will do - Didn't realise that it was on that thread to be honest.
  • Yes but I have a large euro balance that I want to transfer to another account or card & I bet cards need you to load in GBP rather than Euro. No point changing back to GBP only to re-change to EUR!
