What happens to my refund?

Hi all, hope someone can help.
I applied for a refund of my packaged bank account from NatWest through the reclaim app on moneysavingexpert and they have agreed with my claim and have confirmed they have credited my account.
The only thing is, the account I had with them is no longer in use as I've had to change banks due to starting a DMP with stepchange.
Will the money they have credited be used to reduce the balance I owe them automatically? If I request for the money to be credited to a different account will it be likely they will do that?
Their office isnt open until Monday morning for me to call them to find out but don't want to wait til then!
Thanks

They are allowed to use the capital part of the redress against any debt you had with them that was in arrears, defaulted or previously written off. Doesnt mean they will. Just that they can.If I request for the money to be credited to a different account will it be likely they will do that?

Thanks for replying. I know the only definite answer I'll get is when I speak to them on Monday, was just hoping someone had had similar happen and wondered what their outcome was x0
