Hi Guys,
Thanks so much for all your comments. We have contacted the original company who did the work in 1983, and they have agreed to come out and reinspect for £60. They did that yesterday, and have said their report will be ready by Mon. We are going to go round to collect it as there is apostal strike on at the mo (typical!!!) and will take it round our solicitors personally to get his advice.
Fingers crossed! We wont give up the house over it, as in the worst case scenario we would just end up having to pay for new work to be done, not worth worrying too much about!!
