Possible Parking Eye penalty notice - Wakefield

Hi there
Today I took my daughter to Toys R Us in at Wakefield Retail Park and were parked there for around 45 mins. We were going to walk over to McDonalds which is not situated on retail park but a 5 min walk away but the heavens opened, we did not have our coats so we drove over. There were no parking spaces and inside looked heaving so we went through the drivethru and I then went back to the retail park to park up so we could eat and also my daughter's Dad was picking her up.
I then realised when parking that you are not normally allowed to return for a while and sure enough one of the Parking Eye Notices stated "3hours maximum parking - no return within 1 hour".
I am really mad with myself I did not even think when returning to the car park. I now expect I will get a PCN in the post. Will I be able to defend this or will Toys R Us be able to cancel it? I have a receipt.
Many thanks

Both, try ToysRUs if daft PCN arrives.
You may not get one if your total stay was under 3 hours, which it sounds like it was.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
