    That is good news since it all becomes your with no need for probate. It would be a good idea to notify the Land Registry and again vital you make a will.

    My wife had two bank accounts, in one there was £12.00 and in the other bank account there was £16.00 but this is bank with credit card debt of just over £2500. I have/am paying the funeral costs

    Just tell the two creditors there is no money and nobody is administering the estate. They will write the debts off.

    As per Yorkshireman above:- there is no money, no-one is administering the estate.

    Stand your ground with them.

    Simply write to them informing them that the estate was insolvent, and that you are not administering it.

    Did you do this with the original lender?
