Tesco credit card

Options
I have been with tesco credit card for 2 years on 0% balance transfer, today i rang them and found out my 0% has ran our last month, i dont recall recieving any letters from them to remind me even though they said that they have. Now i have been charged £1000 on interest on top of my balance. Is there anything i can do to get them to write this off i have allways made regular payments and have just forgot to balance transfer as i have so much going on at the minute. Help!

No. You need to keep an eye on your statements and manage your finances.

At their representative 18.9% APR, the monthly rate is 1.4531%.

Assuming your £1,000 interest figure covers 2 months, then that means you had a circa £34,000 balance...and an even higher credit limit to accommodate it!

Try and make it a little more convincing next time. ;)
  • They told me the £1000 interest is for the 2 year 0% balance that i havent paid off, my intitial balance was £1800 and today they told me £2800 please tell me they are wrong

On the face of it, that's wrong.

However, as is often the case, I suspect you've forgotten to tell us a few important details.

My first thoughts are that you've been spending on the card and haven't been paying attention to your statements.
  • I have just rang Tesco bank to clarify the charges, and... they have MADE A MISTAKE!!!
They dont know why the agent this morning told me that and the correct charge is £26! Thank you for making me question this!
