buying a freehold house with detached leasehold garage

HI,
Wonder if anyone has came across this, we are looking to buy a freehold bungalow that has a detached garage and carport, the garage and carport are one building constructed of brick with tiled roof, the carport is on the bungalow deeds as leasehold with 70 years remaining of a 99 year (peppercorn lease) and the garage part is rented under licence. £1.00 per week. The owner of the lease was a company which was desolved in 2000 so rent of £1.00/week and peppercorn rent have not been paid as there was no-one to pay them to. I'm on the understanding that the freehold has now gone to the crown. Is it just a matter of buying the freehold from the crown ?
