Have just had a look on the tax credits website and unfortunately you have to be 25+ to recieve them, I am only 21 so cannot get anything

Sorry about that I forgot about the stupid age rule for working tax credits I'm 27. At least you have tried and can look for family/friends and keep an eye on your entitlements to benefits.
Also I noticed no mention of Quidco free cash

As it's the beginning of a new year I thought i would update this so I can see how I have been doing since october. To my surprise in 4 months I have managed to pay off £1803.14 :j . If I carry on like this throughout the year I will have reduced my debt to £7812 by December :eek: .
This was my SOA in October:
Incoming -
£806 approx per month ( I don't work regular hours as a care worker)
Outgoing-
phone insurance = £[STRIKE]5.99[/STRIKE] This has now been cancelled
Car Insurance = £49 (just reduced from £69)
Lloyds Loan = 351.13
Next = [STRIKE]£48 (approx[/STRIKE]) Gone completely
Mobile = 35 (£52 cashback at months 6,9 and 12)
Pet Insurance = £22.21
Board = 80
Pet food = £20
Petrol= £70 (I have to use my car for work)
Credit cards = [STRIKE]£30 [/STRIKE] Now approx £100
Family Load = £[STRIKE]0[/STRIKE] Now approx £35
Total = £762.33
Left over = £43.67 for me
I feel quite proud of myself!

Isn't it amazing how the debt starts to go down once you register with this site.
I have only just signed up but I am becoming completely obsessed with not spending so I can pay off all my debts asap.

I did have 91 saved but the ruddy car broke down this morning and needed a new battery and I also brought a christmas present. It felt really good being able to pay with cash though
My aim is to clear Freemans and the family Loan by September
