£49 a month car insurance sounds alot!! (£600/year). Does this include money for your tax, petrol and MOT too?! I'm sure my insurance has never been more than £450/yr fully comp. Could you not run a small cheap car?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

No this is purely just insurance, I have only been driving just over a year. A little reanault clio 1.2
. This i also got down from £69 a few weeks ago when i turned 21. I save for tax using post office stamps. Petrol I get back from work in my wages, car doesn't need an MOT until this time next year when it will be 3. Just a quick update as I think I have done really well this month. I have mostly been concerntrating on getting rid of the Next Account. Have managed to pay off £145 so far, which is £100 more this month than I would normally pay. I have another £50 waiting to be transferred from paypal so this will also go towards paying off the next account, that only leaves £328 left. I have set myself a target to have this paid by christmas.
I have been doing approx 15 hours extra at work each week which will help and I am thinking of selling my car and getting a cheaper one, hopefully the money left after buying a new car will be enough to pay off the family loan.
All the bills come out the bank tommorow so this will bring the loan payment down even more :j .
The amount of stuff i have found lying around the house that I have managed to sell on ebay has been amazing. I also have £70 saved in my savings account incase anything goes wrong with my car.
This for me has been a real eye opener to what can be achieved if you really stick to it. I could have saved even more if i hadn't brought things I don't need from the supermarket
.
Thank you to everyone on this site for all the help and support you give :TVirgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0 -

They could give you working tax credits. Just give it a good guess on the website to see and put not a tenant when it asks about the house status.
When you apply with the inland revenue use the amount you earned in the last tax year (thats more correct) which will be less than you earn now, its on your last P60. I just applied and can get tax credits its not much but it all helps.
PS I also live at home0
