First Direct Switch

Just to double check I've not missed anything . . am I right in believing the only criteria to get the switch bonus is paying in £1000 within the first three months? So direct debits etc aren't required?
Also I have an empty mule account with Natwest atm, I think its an instant saver . . would this be able to be used to switch to a first Direct Current, or does it need to be an existing current account?

Thanks :)

Are Direct Debits mentioned in the account switching incentive t&cs? I've had a look and can't see any mention so I'd say not.

You have to complete a full account switch (of a current account) using the Current Account Switch(ing) Service (CASS).

Don't forget that apart from the first six? months the First Direct First Account has a fee of £10 p/m which can be avoided by meeting certain criteria one of which is having a savings account with First Direct (not the regular/monthly saver).
