Hi just after little bit of advice on behalf of someone. There is a discrepancy over the value of some land that has now arisen from a valuation carried out in 2004. The land had no planning permission on it at the time. Would a valuer now be able to give a rough idea as to what a piece of land would have been worth in 2004 or would we be wasting our time asking? Would there be a record of land values etc?

Yes, valuers can give retrospective valuations (quite common for e.g. negligence cases).0
