    Actually it was the 'Daily Mirror' that broke the story and then it was several other papers including the 'Daily Mail' that followed up on it.

    Then why didn't you make that point when you started the thread?

    Because I didn't realise that there would be people like you, Pollycat, turning it into a 'Daily Mail' bashing exercise calling it "stupid" and "pointless".

    Well, you've clearly not read many threads about the opinion of lots of people on here regarding the Daily Mail then. :rotfl:

    But you know for the future.....

    FTR, I'm not disagreeing that the DM (why do you think it's referred to on here as 'The Daily Fail'?) may have been the only newspaper which "had the courage to actually reproduce the contentious Tripadvisor review of "March 22nd" for all of us to form our own opinion of whther it was libellous or not." but one swallow does not a summer make.

    To be fair, the Daily Hate (another of its derivations) does do some good consumer journalism ... for example in the realm of private parking charges and the nefarious activities of ex-clamper firms.
