Depends on what value of car I have sold many cars on Gumtree over the years ranging from cheap under a 1000 ones to the most expensive being 9000.00, I find it works for me and just put on the advert no emails will be answered and no stupid offers of paypal or cheques, In person only and via cash or a visit to the bank to transfer said funds on day of transfer.
Autotrader a bit more reputable and garages or the likes if you are nut fussed on top end money or looking a trade in.0 -
Thanks
Mine may be towards the 9000 mark0 -

Then 100% add the fact that no emails will be answered, No trade offers either.
I am very blunt on mine and have put Scammers need not bother as you will be told what to do.
The only thing on top end sales is the time it can take to shift them but to be honest if you are not in a hurry and would prefer more cash then just hold out, Also on that money make sure you do a bank transfer with them in branch and check your account prior to giving the keys and logbook.0 -
sold 2 cars recently, 1 on Ebay and One on gumtree, I tried Autotrader but found that expesnive and not many enquiries.
Id start with facebook groups, and Gumtree, just be willing to delete and repost the ad on gumtree almost daily as business list on their and your ad will likely end up down the bottom quite quickly, but i managed to sell 2 cars within a week.0 -
The only thing on top end sales
Seriously? Is nine grand considered 'top end'I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -

There's no need to be so nasty and offensive. It was a perfectly valid point, not meant to be sarcastic at all. I have been contributing to this site for almost eleven years and am not a troll.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
Owners clubs sometimes let you advertise.0

With this poster, "nasty and offensive" is what they always resort to when anything that they don't like or agree with is posted.
Oooooh get you with you're late night and tight shoes.0 -
Gumtree is my preferred choice. Autotrader is very expensive.0

The best place by far is the Romford advertiser. £4.50 for 10 words then 48p for any additional. e.g - Nice car for sale, low mileage, MOT, blue, one owner. Call 01234 123 ***. Would cost you £6.42. Not sure if includes VAT please check. Paper comes out on a FridayOne man's folly is another man's wife. Helen Roland (1876 - 1950)0
