Nationwide texts

How long ago did you submit the mortgage application? I had the 'valuation received' text followed immediately by the 'mortgage offered' text on the same day the valuation took place, but I believe this was because there was nearly three weeks from full application being submited to when the survey actually took place so Nationwide had time to do all their checks etc before receiving the valuation.
My timeline was...
Application made: 20th April
Survey took place: 10th May
Valuation report received: 10th May
Mortgage offer: 10th May
I've read numerous threads on here and other places whereby people get the 'report received' text then don't get the 'mortgage offer' text for a few days later so don't be disheartened that yours hasn't come through yet.
I think my application went in on 8th of May via a broker, valuation was 15th. Yesterday (17th) my broker contacted me to complete a gifted deposit form for Nationwide, it was because my husband has recently transferred a large sum of money into my Nationwide current account (I've applied for the mortgage solely).
I'm hoping to hear soon0 -
I don't think the OP is worried or confused, a genuine query.
I think the texts from NW were a brilliant form of communication for me when we bought last year and a step better than many lenders who don't communicate at all until either offer is produced or a decline decision is made.
Thumbs up from me.
I do like the texts but I find myself checking my phone a lot
Yes, it was just a genuine query as I'd not seen many people mention the valuation received text.
Thank you0 -

Sometimes you don't get 'received' because it moves straight to satisfactory.
Don't hold you breath. We have one back on 8 May and it still hasn't been moved on to offer.
Thank you, I've since had to provide proof of gifted deposit (17/5). I think it's due to my husband transferring a large sum of money into my nationwide current account just recently.
My mortgage broker uploaded proof of this as soon as it was requested so I'm hoping to hear soon.0 -

Which then raises another question, i.e. why your husband isn't on the mortgage application. As the money will grant him a financial interest in the property.0 -

This was on the advice of my mortgage advisor due to my husbands age.0 -

Happy New Year! Your annual mortgage statement will arrive through your letterbox by 31 Jan. So please sit tight - see nationwide.co.uk/statement for more info.
Now English is my 2nd language, but 'SIT TIGHT' ? How does it sonud to you? Is it appropriate wording/customer service practice? You can not see the statement online, so you have to wait for the paper version. Until then customers might be panicing how they rose their interest rates after Bank of England changed base rate. Not pleasant for mostly skint people after xmas...0 -
People that were on SVr would have had a letter explaining the increase.
For
People on fixed rates they would have seen no increase and nationwide would not show what current rates are as so much can change in the market.
I thought the text from them was a nice touch but obvs not everyone thinks that from reading the thread!0
