I have just purchased an LG 24MT48S smart television. When I set it up I connected a satellite cable to the tv and tuned both the free view and satellite channels. Both stored lots of channels but I don't know how to view any of the satellite channels. I have only had a short time to play around with it. The institutions are very limited.

Hi,
on page 8 of above link, remote control, use the input button to change source.0 -
A daft question so dont take offence, I assume you have a satellite box ?
If you do, maybe you need to do as suggested and change the source.0 -

Not sure how it can "tune" satellite channels given that it doesn't have a dedicated Freesat tuner. As above, do you have Sky and if so all you need to do is change the input source on your remote. Oh and yes, RTFM
It has a generic FTA satellite tuner I think you will find, which the instruction book does not cover.0 -

You won't get any Freeview channels by connecting to a sat dish. You need to connect to an aerial.
So I think by 'Freeview' you mean free to view, and by 'satellite' you mean subscription channels? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
OP has confirmed (I think) that an aerial, and a satellite dish, are BOTH connected to the correct connections on the TV, and that stations have been tuned in on both systems. Just can't get access to the sat channels.
Yup, from a quick look, keep pressing the input button to cycle through the inputs, or keep pressing the TV/RAD button, which may cycle through, let's call them, the 'internal tuners'.0
