Building a shed inside a shed...

hello
Im putting a shed [wood, garden style] inside my big shed/garage [metal roof, bricks, wood] so I can have an outside workroom that I can keep warm/dry, as the big shed isnt either of those things.
I'll be building the new shed onto the concrete floor of the big shed/garage. Do I need to put any extra somethings under the base that will come with the shed? I considered pallets, but a lot of mice and rats go in the big shed and I dont want them to hide or live under there in the pallets.
Or would it be ok to just build it straight on the concrete?
I expect I will carpet and paint etc the inside of the new small shed.

The last time I bought a shed the company that supplied it said something along the lines of "it needs a level, solid base" so assuming your existing concrete floor is sound, I'd say you'll be ok placing it directly on top.

A decent garage slab should always be laid to a fall - ordinary building practice here. This means you do not have a level base to pitch your shed off. You will need to check your slab and see what you have. You may have to factor in a sub base to level matters up.
  • Its a garage with a flat concreted floor. I was concerned maybe about damp or cold, but I guess concrete is the ideal surface.
    Thanks!
