Hi everyone
I have recently bought a HP Printer from Tesco and some Tesco refilled cartridges. I have just put the cartridges in and the printer has gone into error state and won't print.
Can anyone help please.

Depending on the printer model, it could either be a faulty chip on the cartridge or on some machines, the remanufactured cartridges will always show empty, the error may just be prompting you to push a button to agree to over ride the empty warning, what is the actual message you get?I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

Take the cartridges back to Tesco for exchange. If the replacements fail too ask for refund and get your replacements elsewhere.0

Without knowing what the error actually is? Some remanufactured cartridges for certain HP machines will show an error because the chip can't be reset so they show as empty, in this case the error would be just advising you that the machine detects an empty cartridge, this is quite normal and there are usually instructions in the pack that tell you what to do, on those machines it's just a case of pushing a button, generally the OK button to acknowledge that fact, once this is done, the machine works fine, you just won't get any ink level information. The above would be the case for printers taking HP300, 301, 302, 62 type cartridges.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

Or it could be updated firmware on the printer that has been released since Tesco refilled the cartridge and reset the chip.0 -

At the moment most printers seem to be behaving themselves, we do lots of remanufactured and compatible cartridges for all brands and are not experiencing any issues with firmware updates, I'm going out on a limb here but I'm guessing the OPs printer takes HP301 or 302 cartridges given that Tescos stores don't generally stock more sophisticated machines, 301 and 302 cartridges work pretty well refilled but will show as empty which the machine will class as an error.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
