VitalityHealth GPS tracking?

I am looking at getting private health insurance for the first time.

I was interested in VitalityHealth because I would make use of some of the benefits so it wouldn't be too expensive.

I have a question about the tracking. I have no problem with using heart rate monitor and passing them details of my exercise (times, heart rate, steps), but I would not want to pass them my GPS location data.

Does anyone know if when you "link" say a Garmin to them, there is a way to share just exercise related data and not location tracking?

Your personal data is worth a fortune.

It will track your GPS so you cannot sit in front of the TV shaking the counter. The garmin device is a GPS device.

Thanks. Yes I know. As I said I'm happy to share exercise data (steps, heart rate, times) but not happy to share location. I thought maybe if you can get points from fitbit that doesn't have GPS, or whether there was an option on the Garmin side to not share location.

I understand with steps but as I say I would be looking to get the points from heart rate data not from steps .

If its in the policy terms that you upload the data from the device then they will get the GPS data, assuming the device has GPS built in or if it uses your phone or other GPS product to get the data.

What are policy terms regarding the device?

So many things track your location these days. You ISP, your mobile even with the GPS off it can locate you to within a couple of hundred feet.

You can use a step tracker with Vitality. I'm getting all my points from just steps.
