Holiday Nightmare Property Cancelled Accommodation

Hi!

Hoping someone can help. We booked an apartment through Booking.com and arranged our check in time. However due to delays in transport we did not arrive on time we did keep the property owner up to date with phone calls, voicemails and text messages as well as informing booking.com the owner did not wait for us and we were unable to stay there that night. Having to look for other accommodation late at night. The property then cancelled the rest of our stay meaning we had to look for more accommodation. We are trying to get our money back however we have had no reply and booking. Com have been no help at all. Can we claim this back through the credit card company?

Thanks
Kate

Only if the terms and conditions have been broken by the supplier.

And having a middle man in Booking.com might break the supplier chain anyway making a section 75 claim invalid.

What did your travel insurance company say?
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear

Maybe, depending on the small print. Contact your card provider and keep it simple: you paid for a service and it was not provided, no-one cares about you sending multiple voice-mails. How you get on will depend on the small print in the contract.
