I am trying to book a day trip from Orleans to Paris whilst we are on our holidays. I have found all the train info but need to know if there is car parking facilities at Les Aubrais station in Orleans. The other station is Gare D'Orleans which is in the centre I think. We might have to travel from there so if anyone knows the area I would be glad of any info.
Alternatively does anyone have experience of driving and parking in Paris for the day?

Hi, Orleans Centre is the station you want not "Les Aubrais" as it is a few miles further North on the N7. There is parking facility at Les Aubrais. In Paris, I strongly recommend to either park the car at the nearest car park on arrival (remember not all are 24/24) and then take the metro/bus system or get there by train and then metro/bus etc. It will be hard enough for you to find your way around without having to mind your front wings and mirrors. Driving in Paris IS a stressing experience, trust me I have done it for 10 years.0

Thanks for that. Do you know if there is anywhere to park at the central Orleans station?0

Yes, there are car parks just round the corner to the right and alongside the tracks to your left of the station. Orleans is actually a friendly place to park within. Dont forget to walk around the Cathedral, quite a nice piece of architecture. Enjoy.0

Many thanks to you both I think I will be getting the train. I have been to Paris before and can still recall the trauma of crossing the road, so I think I'll give driving a miss.0
