Sorry OT: Alliance and Leicester Internet Banking

Hi,
Is anyone else experiencing trouble with Alliance and Leicester online banking? I can't log in - the screen just not move. Don't have access to a phone so can't phone them and ask either.

Its very annoying need to transfer money today :mad:

It's said "closed for essential maintenance", all day for me so far.
That indicates something pretty catastrophic has occured if they're doing that within peak hours on the busiest online day of the week.

I've not been able to log in all day. They are doing maintenance apparently!

The website message is:

Due to essential maintenance the Alliance & Leicester Internet Banking service is temporarily unavailable.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please try again later

Worse than that - the busiest time of the month I'd have thought, it being October 1st. I haven't been able to get on either.

just been having problems so came in here to see if it was just me! was fine last night but can't get in this afternoon. here's hoping it sorts out soon!

EDIT: i'd prefer it if they gave me a message about maintenance - all i get is "We have been unable to log you in on this occasion. Please try again." tired of trying again now!

I had problems at lunch time, but did get logged in just over an hour ago, but site seemed very slow.

edit: Finally logged me in, must have taken a good 4 mins or more for summary page to load, I wonder if their maintenance message is a "time out feature"?

Yes I have only just managed to get on after trying all morning on and off. Interest has been added to all accounts today. SIte still very slow but I managaed to do my transfer then while I was waiting for a summary it logged me out!
No luck at all with Bradford & Bingley today. Anyone else having problems? I can get on the site but it even disconnects me from the Internet when I click on Savings. I have posted this in Savings thread too.

i got on this morning but tried again this pm but can't get on get maintenance message too.
