Nationwide Problem Again

in Credit cards
Some advice plese.
I paid off my Nationwide card off 2 weeks ago, on the 17th September, leaving a zero balance.
The payment showed up on my on-line statement on the 24th September, but my available credit limit does not show the funds as being available.
The payment was made in cash.
Does anyone have any idea how long Nationwide take to clear these funds.
I have spoken to them and they say although they have had the cash and it has been recieved it takes time for it to show up as being available, the date they have given is next Friday, some 19 days since payment was made.
Am I right in thinking that this amount of time is excessive.

Usually it takes a few days, as Nationwide have to "bank" the payments.
My in branch cheque payments usually show up 5-6 days later...
19 days seems way too long though.0 -

That's what I thought, the payment does show on my on-line statement but not on my credit limit, a balance transfer does not take this long.........Aiming to be debt free....but still off target0
