Insurance for road using golf buggies

We are planning to hire golf buggies for a couple of weeks while in Florida @ Anna Maria Island .The hire place has told us that they are insurance under your normal US car insurance policy. We are British , so therefore I presume not insurance , they have said we could just sign a disclaimer , we aren't keen , and would rather have proper cover , where can I purchase this from ? how much should I expect to pay ?

You're going to drive golf buggies on the road?
I'd get life insurance first....The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
As some of your buggy driving may be on public roads, I think that you are sensible to want to have proper insurance.
A disclaimer may well be okay as far as the cart owners are concerned but if you are involved in any sort of accident on the road it could end up costing you a fortune.
Why not try a few US insurance companies and see if they will do a short term policy.
