National Trust VS other annual passes

We've got two girls (4 & 6) and over the past few years we got sucked in to numerous annual passes - ZSL, soft play etc - we actually ended up with about 5 passes which were costing us £1k+ a year! Since last summer we've been cancelling them as each pass comes to the end of contact and yesterday we finally got rid of the last one! Yay!
The intention was always to then pick something totally new to us and just have that one pass for a year before trying something new.
We've been keen to have a family national trust pass but would love to hear of any other passes that might suit us. As I said before we have two girls who are 4 and 6, as a family we love any kind of day out - active or more chilled - we live between Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire, me and my husband drive so we're happy to share longer journeys. We've had ZSL and Woburn passes in the park so not those please - thanks all! :beer:

why not alternative different types of passes each year? A NT one year, a heritage another, then you get variety!0

Look at places that give you an annual pass for the price of a single visit. That way you could have a few on the go at any one time without it costing so much. Examples not so far from you - Black Country Museum, and National Space Centre in Leicester.0

Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth as well. loads to see and do.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!:mad:
