An empty property

Are there any Gas/ Electricity suppliers who do not charge a standing charge on an empty property? I have had a house wrecked by a tenant and at the moment I am unable to afford to do the repairs. I believe all companies charge for removing the meters and again for reinstalling them so finding a utility provider that didn't have a standing charge would be useful.

Yes. Ebico is one of them. Just use a comparison site and put in a small annnual kWh value say 700 and the check the results. The cheapest should all be zero standing charge tariffs.0

Some comparison sites such as the MSE CEC will allow you to filter results to only show tariffs that have a zero standing charge.
But I would urge you not to activate such filters, but rather show the whole of market.
If a zero standing charge tariff is the cheapest for you, it will be at the top of the list0 -
EBICO is probably what you want. There are no exit fees either so you can move the supplier when you need to. If you are using very little energy then the price of each kWh is probably not all that relevant. It is just so that you can carry out work when needed and only pay for what you use rather than paying a standing charge.
You would need to arrange for meter readings if the property is empty.0
