Press Release Help

Hi

I am trying to write a press release for my business and I am really not great at things like this, does anybody have any tips on how I should do this? Or does anybody have a press release I could look at to get an idea of how they should be laid out etc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I am a press officer so perhaps I can help! Both those websites are really useful so they're a good start.

Best advice - write down everything you need to say in bullet points. Be concise and clear. Then put them in order from most to least important. Don't just launch yourself into writing something - do the groundwork and press releases are a breeze!

And as an ex journalist I saw too many press releases that were two or three pages when half a page would do! Do your best to keep it short and sweet!
