Homecare Agreement invalidated

I;ve had a Homecare agreement for 20 years with British Gas covering this house and my last house. This also includes radiators. Last March I had an independent contractor do a power flush. The power flush helped and rads were hotter as a result. Three months after the flush British Gas came to do the annual boiler inspection. I told the engineer about the power flush.
Two months ago the radiators downstairs suddenly stopped heating up. I called British Gas to come and investigate. The engineer and his manager said they will not fix the problem because I had an independent contractor do the power flush.

The independent contractor is coming back. He is confident that no further power flush is required. He said he will balance the radiators. Not sure what this is but British Gas have done this before too.

My gripe is that British Gas continued to take my money over the last year (£30 a month) knowing I had used an independent contractor for the power flush. I feel I should be reimbursed for the years payments to BG Homecare since they haven’t helped solve the current problem with radiators. Any suggestions please.
