Error on parking charge notice

Hi, I was issued a parking charge notice from Indigo after parking in a volunteer space in a hospital car park on a Saturday. I am a staff member and usually these spaces remain empty over the weekend and I naively assumed they did not monitor these spaces over the weekend as I have used them before with no issue. On inspection of the ticket they have incorrectly stated the make of my car as a Reliant when it is a clio. Does this by any chance give me a chance of appeal on the grounds of an error on the ticket?

In a word no. The ticket is beatable though. All you need to do is read the thread at the top of this forum that starts by saying Newbies read these FAQs first. It contains everything you need to sort this out.

    NO

it is thought that they do this on purpose into goading the driver to make a rushed and hurried and flawed initial appeal, or to get the driver to make contact and thereby drop themselves in it

More than likely the parking chimp's guess at how to spell Renault!

Renault Robin, Reliant Clio - all the same to him, just as long as he can unload a ticket! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
