How to repair torn felt on a large shed?

Hey guys, so at home we have a large shed/workshop and it's been leaking due to the bad weather. We found out it was torn felt on the roof. My parents are currently on holiday. I was going to try to repair it myself, but with limited DIY knowledge I'm not sure the right way to go about it. Would it be simple for one person to repair? Currently we put a couple of wooden boards on the roof on top of some black bags just to stop any more rain leaking through, though at the moment the weather has been holding up. What would you suggest?

Replace the felt, generally if it is torn it is worn out and needs a re-felt. You could maybe get away with a patch repair if you can start at the top and run down to below and with a good width either side of the tear. Fairly easy one man job.0

Youtube will have helpful videos but not a difficult job if access is good.0

Might be just as quick and longer lasting to replace it with something like onduline.0
