Worcester Bosch boiler engineer recommendation please

Could anyone recommend as above in the leeds area please? It is for a yearly service but also to see if they can sort an ongoing problem whereby the boiler keeps heating the radiators even when the timer is switched off (sometimes) and also the temperature varies so much going up to 90 degrees on the display on the boiler. thanks

Sounds like you have a issue with your diverter valve and plate heat exchanger...I would suggest getting Worcester to come and do a fixed price repair, they will repair whatever is needed and carry out safety checks which would be effectively a service.

It might vary with area but where I am it is about £270. Sounds a lot but they do a good job and will replace up to 3 components. Some major parts are not covered.

If your diverter valve is passing and heat exchanger is blocked which sounds likely then your probably looking at least £150 in new parts plus labour and the service, the heat exchanger is a pain to get out and could take 2-3hours to complete the whole job, I know someone who had Worcester out in the south west and they £249. Still think if this is done for under £300 and the parts I suspect are required then I think that's your best option.
  • If you have a wireless thermo it might be dropping communication with the receiver. Happened to my boiler and it kept turing on and off.

    Try Home Heat Services 0113 2842707 / 07841 744097.
I use them all the time and they are excellent. Mine is a Worcester Bosch as well.
