ParkingEye letter and now EQUITA letter. advice on what I need to do please

• I have read through various forums regarding crown wharf carpark after receiving a parking ticket from parking eye. As everyone advises I haven't acknowledged any letters, including ones sent afterwards from Equita. The latest letter I received today says they are passing the matter back to parking eye with the recommendation that they proceed with additional enforcement/litigation action for £145.00. Are they still just trying to scare me? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you.

• Hi all,
I've recently had the same problem with parking eye followed by a letter from equita and now have no idea what to do.
The parking eye charge was from an NHS hospital car park (owned by PE) that only provides max four hour parking or staff parking. I was a student nurse on placement and had to undertake the same hours as staff, so parked in staff car park and had the ward admin email the internal parking eye advisor to register my car ref for the time I was there. However, the admin didn't state clearly the dates I was there and I began to recieve fines. I appealed to PE, giving them a full explaination and contact no for the ward I was on. They only appealed for the one day however and not the full time that I was there, with the dates given to them in the appeal.
I've now received a letter from equita asking for payment on PEs behalf. It doesn't state the cost nor does it state the date of said parking charge. The letter is also addressed to the wrong address (my mums) and I've recently changed my surname so the name is also incorrect.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do? I feel stuck at the moment as PE will not let me appeal again as they've already accepted the appeal but only for the one date and the four weeks I was there. I have timesheets signed by a registered nurse on the ward and a contact number for them but no way of getting this over to PE unless I write to them as the jammy !!!!!!s don't have a contact number  please help?

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
