Only just had chance to read through this thread - great idea! Fac, I'm so excited for you, it's lovely having a newborn around, and the first few days after they are born are just mad but so fantastic....you're just terrified, elated and amazed, and can't quite believe they are finally here. Pink, well done on the charges. Everyone else, hope you're all having good days!

  • It's a beautiful sunny day here. DD was off school with a sore throat so Mum has been here all day. She has done all my ironing, cleaned the bathroom and living room and my Dad did the kitchen. Dad also replaced the shower attachment thing and bought a 4 pint jug of milk as I'd run out. So I can skive for the rest of the day hee hee. My parents are just fab xx

  • Great idea for a thread!Has everyone had a good day! ive been busy delivering the invitations for ds christening. Had a really bad hair day but my friend has agreed to cut it for me so it will save me about £50.Does anyone else feel more confidant when their hair is cut, when I get mine cut I tend to do my lippy and dress more smartly. At the weekend I felt fat, frumpy and all of my 34 yrs.and im sure it was down to my dodgy disgraceful hairdo!

day was going fine until i hit tesco's this evening. Started off well, had sold my posh kitchen bin so was putting money into the wedding savings account, when got totally fed up with my shoes squeeking all the time (heaven only know's why) didn't get shoes but did get trainers for £5 which were needed as the sole is split on my current pair, only problem is they have pink on them (but i'll give up my principles for the debt free lifestyle!) lol
Trouble is i spotted clothes on sale, i've managed to get my two neices their chrissy pressys, my two nephews their crissy pressy's, my BIL his birthday pressy and my dearest hubby to be his birthday pressy. I know they were on sale but they weren't planned so i feel guilty about them.
sorry to waffle, no one else understands why i feel guilty buying stuff that i would have to buy anyway when it's not on sale. It just messed up my no spend day!

I'm having a great day - sorted out possibly the Cheapest Removal On The Planet plus sorted out a place to stay when lease expires on Friday. Didn't get mad at brainless mortgage girl who told me smugly we'd got nowball chance in hell of completing friday, so my soul is tainless, and my patio doesn't have to be ripped up AGAIN to make way for someone else who annoyed me.

I know how you feel Fac - I've got 11 weeks to go, and just starting to get the twinges and aches that really make you miserable.

Supersver - I hear ya! Got myself some posh Estee Lauder nail polish as a treat and found myself actually caring what my hair looked like, and what I was wearing. As soon as it came off, I was back to wearing whatever fit, and whatever I could get away with trainers underneath. Must make more of an effort, but my excuse is that I've run out of fluff ease from lush, and my straighteners have been packd.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500
