I have a 1.3 Cdti Astra 2008. Today I was going along and needed to overtake , accelerated and was surprised by the performance it seemed strangely fast than usual. A few miles down the road I noticed when putting my foot down there wasn't much power , few miles after this it started chugging and the EML came on . I pulled over and restarted the engine and the light was off but performance was still quite limited. I went our earlier and it seemed ok. I did the pedal test and it came back with maf low Curcit input , clutch circuit input malfunction and canbus node no communication. Any help please? :(

Have you had the bonnet open recently?

As a free starter for 10, i would check all connections for tightness and/or water ingress on the MAF.

After that check "cleanliness" of the map and all other intake hoses and connections.

From there, I would get the codes read with a diagnostic machine and proceed from there.

The loss of power is probably due to the engine protecting itself in "limp mode".

    Get the fault codes read.

MAF's on these are very reliable, and given your symptoms it sounds more like a turbo wastegate/variable geometry actuator sticking, however you really need to get the fault codes read.
