Have just started to set up a Humax tv recorder and its come up with Humax privacy policy - Terms and conditions. Does anyone know what happens if I don't, as far as viewing freeview and the internet. Never had this with my old Humax. Thanks for any replies.

Couldn't wait as I've got to go out and I declined to sign up to them anyway.

If you mean a tick box as you are setting up, then normally you are not allowed to proceed until you have ticked the box. If you mean sign with a pen, who is going to know you haven't singed them?

It's just to opt in or out of sending back anonymous data for product improvement.

Has no effect as far as viewing freeview and the internet.

Thanks Sooler. A few minutes after choosing a programme my new Humax FVP 4000T kept turning itself off, so I'm returning it. Also, if anybody buys one, they should be aware that it asks for a wi-fi password and won't let you progress any further in the initial setup until you comply. So anybody who doesn't have a wi-fi to set up to, can't complete the setup - odd that unless I missed something. My old Humax lasted about six odd years with no wi-fi restrictions.
