Civil enforcement team can they take me to court?

Hi, about a month a ago I went to my friends 18th birthday party. As a result I parked in the hotel where the venue was. As I drove in it did have a few sign posts to say give my REG plate to the reception well being 18 I saw my friends outside and went straight to the function room. It completely went over my head.
As I forgot, I got a letter through the post from Civil enforment ltd for £65( at a reduced rate) I appealed this as I did have all rights to park there. The hotel even said I was allowed I just simply forgot to give my number plate in. My appeal said the hotel let me park there I have photographic evidence of the party invitation and I wa snappy to even give photos of me there! But the appeal was unsuccessful. I ignored the letters as I read online they are only a private company they have no rights. But now they've sent me a new letter if I don't pay in 14 days £100 they will take it to court or baylifts. Should
I ignore it? If not what else can I do. I don't want to pay a lot as I had every right to park in the hotel I just as a human nature forgot to give a number plate in I haven't broken any laws. Will they just go away?

Thanks need advice asap very worried :j

yes they could take it to court (an MCOL) and have 6 years to do so

you may well have broken contract laws (like BARRY BEAVIS) and they may have legal rights

they might win , there are no guarantees either way

if you lose and fail to pay the judgment within say 28 days , a CCJ will be in force and after that they could try bailiffs (but not before)

now please read that NEWBIES sticky thread

Have you asked the hotel to cancel? If they refuse you can write bad stuff on their Facebook page and TripAdviser.

It is on the first page, it starts with the word "newbies". It is required reading before requesting advice.

    What is the newbies thread?

This and other basic aspects of board use were all explained in the FIG - which you confirmed you had read and understood in order to post here.

    What is the newbies thread?

The one at the top in capitals 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' on the page where instead of reading it you just hit 'new thread'.

Please read the advice thread, this is so simple. It's CEL, they fold when they see the template appeal (the one in the NEWBIES thread).

P.S: What's a baylift?! Someone who lifts bays?

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, according to CPWTIA, they lift sofas.
