Reclaiming PPI in Australia

Hi All,
I lived in Australia from 2003-2008 during which time I took out credit cards, a mortgage etc. Firstly, was PPI mis-sold in Australia, and secondly, how would I go about reclaiming it?
Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks.

Strewth. You'd have to go and ask the Aussies, I reckon?0

The PPI scandal is solely a UK phenomenon.
However, you can can complain to any Bank in any country that insurance was mis-sold to you.
You'll need to construct a compelling case if you hope to be refunded anything.
Did you actually have any such insurance in Australia, though?0 -
Thanks for your response
I honestly don't know, but after reclaiming PPI on UK credit cards I wondered if it had similarly been mis-sold in Australia.0 -
