    A quick updated. I just got good news. Contracts exchanged, so I am off to the Post Office to send letter with guaranteed delivery on Saturday and I am sorted!

    Hmmm... not sure....

    If you've missed the last post today, Saturday might not be 2 postal days.....assuming by 'guaranteed delivery' you mean 1st class.

    If you mean signed for, then it's not guaranteed.

    Of course the other option is to ring the landlord ad have a chat. If he's flexible/amenable, he may agree to a shorter notice period.But if so, get writen confirmation.

    Guaranteed delivery if there's someone there to sign for it you mean?

    I went with Royal Mail service that guarantees delivery by 1PM next working day. As I missed today's collection that will be Saturday and I know for sure there is always someone in the office on Sat. Not sure how to count postal days but as I posted today and RM delivers on Sat then I hope I should be covered from this point of view as well.
