Hi all We put our house on the market at the end of April then accepted an offer after 4 days. Really quick!! I then texted the buyer a week later to say that we had had paperwork from our solicitor and for us to just keep in contact. She said that she was going to her mortgage advisor that day which was a week after offer…

I had my offer accepted on 5/5, then applied to Nationwide via a broker on 8th May, I've still not got a formal offer of a mortgage and the valuation has come back fine (was done on 15/05). Mine is a fairly straightforward case too.
I know it's only been just over 2 weeks in my case but I'm emailing the EA often to provide an update for my seller as I'm worried they'll think it's taking ages. Definitely a stressful time for all involved.
I know nationwide are only processing documents received on the 17/05 at the moment so maybe that's the delay. As I understand it, being self employed can cause further delays in terms of documents needed.
