Got a 'PCN' and now been passed up further...

Good morning everyone.
After a lot of seating and reading, I am still very confused. So please forgive me, i know questions like these have been answered previously, but i get unsure because queries very slightly and i wonder if the same answers apply.
So on the 7th of march i was sent a 'PCN' from a company called Once Parking Solution.
This includes a photo of my car parked in a parking space, times and dates etc.
I was there for 12mins. We were sat in the car, didn't get out. (this probably isn't relevant)
It says that payment of £100 is due, but £60 reduced fee etc etc.
It says, and i quote-
"At the time of this notice we do not know both the name of the driver and a current address for service for the driver and as the registered keeper of the vehicle.
We have requested the keeper details from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) applying reasonable cause with the intention of pursuing the outstanding parking charge"
So if they don't know these details, how have they sent me a letter?
I ignored this letter after a bit of internet reading.
On the 6th April I was sent another letter.
Set out exactly the same except it is now £100. I also ignored this letter. :silenced:
So today I have received another letter, which has made me wonder a bit
It is from ZZPS limited.
It states: "your unpaid PCN has been passed to us to resolve"
Balance is now £172 and now include late payment and debt recovery charges.
Says that i can: Pay, contact them, or seek advice.
Do not ignore this letter.
For your information, a recent supreme court ruling (Parking eye -v- Bavis) has confirmed that a parking charge issued on private land in enforceable and the parking charge does not breach the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations 1999.
We are instructed to continue to pursue the matter in the absence of and contact from you.
I have since checked the signage in this place and it is £1 per hour. I was there 12min. The photo clearly shows a spare space behind me so it's not like I was stopping anyone else parking there and paying.
What should i do?
Thanks everyone.

Post Four of the Newbies Sticky covers ZZPS in its entirety - the rest of the thread will bring you up to speed on your remaining options.0

Follow Pogo's advice.
This has not been "passed up further" it has been passed down to the lowest of the low, debt collectors. But they are powerless scamming chancers so ignore.
It has not gone up to £172 they are loading it to frighten you, you should not have ignored though in the first place.
How many places were free is irrelevant.
Why on earth didn't you pay the £1 fee in the first place?
Now it's a waiting game to see what happens, but do not contact debt collectors.0 -
We were sat in the car, didn't get out.
What, did you not get out, struggle on your bad leg to the sign, read the terms and conditions, not like them, and drive off, all within the "grace period".
I am sure that you realise by now, this is a scam, the only way to beat it now is to win a PoPLA appeal, or in a small claims Court. They have six years from the event to bring a claim.
They are being economical with the truth about the Beavis Judgement, it is far more complex than they make out, and is unlikely to apply in your case. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

I didn't know that this area is now pay and display. It must have only recently changed.
I've stopped here many times so had no reason to think otherwise.
Ok so i understand i shouldn't have ignored, so ill slap myself on the wrist for that, I can't remember where i read that now.
Could it be worth contacting them (or anyone else?) saying i have no idea what this letter is, it's the first iv'e seen/heard about a parking charge?

We do not condone lying on this forum. It's bad enough that the parking scammers do this, but nobody here wants to stoop to their level.
This could have been dealt with earlier but you found old out of date advice. The advice to ignore has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.
Since you didn't appeal within the allowed timeframe you are now in ignore mode unless you get real court papers. The BMPA motoring charity will be able to tell you the odds of that happening.I married my cousin. Fair enough. Im really blooming kicking myself now
If this does go to court, are they still only able to claim for what their actual financial loss is, or can they keep going for more?
Thanks0 -
Well it’s been a while, but unfortunately today I have got an undate for this!
I have received a LBC from Gladstone Solicitors asking for £160 otherwise they will take me to court !♂️ Just what I need right now!0 -

So now you need to get stuck into post 2 of the NEWBIES which has a step by step guide from LBC to the courtroom.
What happened when you complained to your MP as suggested in post 1 of the NEWBIES?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Yeah been reading that, so I now need to send in an SAR. It says to not use templates, but the link for it gives a template...
It also says not to send to Gladstone’s, but then says it can be sent directly to Gladstone’s...
I didn’t complain to my mp, as I thought as I’ve already messed up at the start of this by ignoring the letter there wasn’t much point.0 -
