Trust Deed Question
Hi All,
I hope someone can answer a quick question for me.
My trust deed was registered almost 5 weeks ago, the 5 weeks is up this Friday. I know that creditors must raise objections within this period if they want to oppose the trust deed.
However what happens if a creditor writes a letter of objection which is dated before the deadline but is received after the 5 week deadline? Would this still be considered or is it a case that any objections have to be received within 5 weeks?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Zayats
My reading of the guidance for trustees has always been that they must receive any objections within the five-week period. That implies that it's up to the creditor to ensure that their objection reaches the trustee in time.
Hope that helps.
