Life insurance

Hi,

I'm new on here and I know it sounds awful but am looking for life insurance for my 11 year old little boy. My mum, sister and I were all insured when we were children and I received money at 18 and 21. I hate thinking about it but you really don't know what can happen in the future. Does anyone know who insures children please?

Thank you.

You are mixing a couple of things up.

A generation back, endowment policies existed as the long term regular contribution savings product. The life assurance was a by product of how they worked for tax reasons. It wasnt to protect a child in the event of death.

If you want to put money aside nowadays you would use a Junior ISA or a stocks and shares ISA (or a few alternatives depending on amounts).
