I'd imagine a couple of those tumble drier sheets would work just as well..

I've used tumble sheets before, but a word of caution, I used them in a box of clothing I don't wear all the time and when I did wear them (they smelled fab) I found I was allergic and came out in a big rash.
I do have a skin condition tho so it is sensitive, I imagine if you use the tumble sheets anyway you'll know if you're allergic :D

Thanks for your reply. I will look in Dunelm (but obviously I am trying to save money lol) and will try the tuble dryer sheets too. Where is your quote/signature from? Its ringing some bells but can't put my finger on it....

It's from Julian of Norwich an English anchoress who lived voluntarily in a cell attached to a church in the 1300s. This is one of her better-known sayings.

Nothing beats drying outside on a lovely sunny day. Apart from drying outside on a day when there's frost on the ground. Trust me - that's a scent they can't bottle.
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...

Eventually I had to give in and do a google search. Your quote reminds me of voltaire's candide, which I read in my first year of university

Lavender doesn't really require green fingers - it thrives on neglect (a woody herb) so even well known black fingers like me can grow it. If you grow it in a pot or window box, you have to pot it on, propagate from cuttings or buy a new plant every few years. But in ordinary ground it needs very little water.

Oh dear...I grow most things and have acid soil but lavender doesnt seem to grow in my garden * sigh*

You can grow it in a pot - just get one of the smaller varieties.
  • I use a perfumed strip of card in my drawers to make them smell nice, - maybe this would also work in a duvet kept in the cupboard? I just try out a perfume in Boots or Debenhams, and keep the card :money:

But why? Why does bedding need to be scented? If it's clean when it goes in the cupboard?
