It's a theoretical question about third party car insurance cover
What would be the case if I through my fault did a vast amount of damage worth 10s or 100s of millions. Does some sort of limit kick in and I go bankrupt, or does Lloyds have a bad year?

Regardless of what level of cover you have, most (possibly all?) policies come with limits of £20m third party property damage and unlimited third party injury.
What would happen if you caused over £20m of property damage with your car? I'm not sure but I dread to think how could knock down a very large, very expensive building with a car.0 -

Thanks. I was chatting with someone in the USA, where apparently you can get insurance with just 50K third party cover. Shocking.0
